Jamie Foxx joins Michael Jackson Tribute in October

Another A-lister has been added to the Michael Jackson tribute concert as Jamie Foxx has just reportedly signed up to join the show set for October. The actor and singer-songwriter will be performing live on the show called Michael Forever- The Tribute Concert as reported by TMZ. The current crop of artists performing on October 8 includes Christina Aguilera and Smokey Robinson.

Beyonce is also expected to record a performance for the show despite her present condition. The soon-to-be-mom is not letting this opportunity to pass as she plans to record a song and dance performance for the tribute concert.

For Jamie Foxx, singing a Michael Jackson song live would be a fitting tribute to the king of pop. Foxx has portrayed real-life music icon Ray Charles in ‘Ray’ in 2004 that won him an Academy Award for Best Actor. Foxx has also won a Grammy Award in 2010 for Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group for the song “Blame It” with T-Pain.

Alien Ant Farm, Cee Lo Green and Craig David have also been confirmed to perform on the show. Michael Forever- The Tribute Concert should be an event to watch out for.
