Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell Post Wedding Banns

Former Beatle Paul McCartney and New York heiress Nancy Shevell are one step closer to getting legally married – they have posted their wedding notice, known as ‘banns’, at the Westminster Register Office in Marylebone, Central London.

This is the same venue where McCartney wedded his first wife Linda with whom he was married for 30 years until she succumbed to breast cancer in 1998.

The banns allow McCartney to marry Shevell any time 16 days after the September 14 posting. This means the marriage can be celebrated from September 30 onwards.

The banns list the couple as James Paul McCartney, “business executive” and Nancy Shevell, “executive.”

The venue has four rooms that can seat 20-100 guests and is the same venue Paul and Linda’s daughter, Mary, also chose to get married in last year.

A source tells ‘Us Weekly’, “It will be a small, intimate wedding. It’s going to be very elegant and classic.”

McCartney and Shevell announced their engagement in April.
