Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Guess It’s the Season for Injury’

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan got his legions of fans worried after he tweeted that he had a minor accident on the set of his new film, ‘Department’ with Ram Gopal Varma at the helm.

“A minor incident on set during semi action sequence… got hit on chest rib cage, some damage inside, pain on breathing, bearable!,” the 68-year-old megastar tweeted.

“Guess it’s the season for injury… first Abhishek, now moi… happens… will repair on its own said doc .. he must be right!! (sic),” Bachchan tweeted further.

Naturally, his fans got worried about his condition (he had suffered a near fatal accident on the set of ‘Coolie’ in 1982 while filming a fight scene with co-star Puneet Issar, which prompted hundreds of fans lining up at the hospital and praying for his recovery) and Amitabh was flooded with tweets from fans expressing concern.

“Okaay I seem to have let loose a cannon !! It will heal… do not worry… all shall be well (sic),” Bachchan had to tweet back in reply to fans worried about him.

“People of twitter world, relax! Should never have mentioned… just an accidental hit by either an elbow or the butt of a carbine,” he added.
