Sherri Shepherd Attacks Barbara Walters for N-word Use

Sherri Shepherd is in controversy today at the net. What happened is that tempers flared on Monday’s episode of “The View” as Sherri Shepherd calls out Barbara Walters for using the N-word in a newsy context.

According to a report, if Whoopi Goldberg used the word first on Monday’s broadcast while quoting presidential candidate Herman Cain, Walters repeated it in context of their conversation, though she told her co-hosts, “It’s very hard for me to say. … The fact that I just said it now gives me chills.”

What comes next? When Walters said the word, she drew a sharp rebuke from Shepherd while in a round-table discussion with the hunting camp used by the Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry.

Apparently, Sherri Shepherd reiterated that she used to be a victim of racially-motivated bullying for quite some time.

“When I heard you say it, it was fine,” Shepherd told Goldberg. “You said it a different way.”

Walters tried to put her actions in context. “I’m repeating what was on the rock,” she says.

But Shepherd did not relent and said this word so firmly:

“Yeah, it’s something about hearing you say it,” Shepherd says. “I don’t like it when you use the word…When you say it, it’s a different connotation.”
