Zachary Quinto is ‘Out’ and Proud

Margin Call’s Zachary Quinto is ‘out’, proud and thankful for all the support he has been receiving after he admitted to being ‘gay’.

As a matter of fact, Zachary is riding high from the amount of support he has received after his decision to come out as a gay man in a ‘New York Magazine’ interview.

“I feel so incredibly grateful to all of the people who’ve reached out to me directly or indirectly or just in spirit. I feel really, really like my entire future is laid out in a different way and it’s thrilling and scary and overwhelming,” Quinto told the ‘Associated Press’ at his film’s New York City premiere.

In the ‘New York Magazine’ interview, Quinto said he was inspired to ‘come out’ after the tragic suicide of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, who took his own life in September after being bullied for ‘allegedly’ being gay. Rodemeyer did not publicly come out prior to his death.

“In light of Jamey’s death, it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality,” the actor wrote on his personal blog last Sunday.
