Chaz Bono Finds Life After DWTS

‘Dancing With the Stars’ celebrity contestant Chaz Bono may have been voted off the show after six weeks but he will remain visible on television when the Oprah Winfrey Network features a documentary on his life after sex change.

The 42-year old transgendered man was booted off DWTS on Tuesday after judge Bruno Tonioli bashed his tango dance performance inspired by the ‘Phantom of the Opera’. Chaz made it halfway through the competition but has been the judge’s object of ridicule for his size.

Bono commented on TV talk show ‘Good Morning America’, “I got a lot of references from him (Tonioli) about things that would indicate the fact that I’m overweight, you know, a roundness. I was called a basketball, a penguin, an Ewok, and I just didn’t appreciate it… If you want to critique my dancing and give me some constructive advice so I can try to improve the next time that I’m there, that would be great. But I don’t really know how to be less penguinish, and so I kind of took offense to that,” he said.

The documentary set to air on November 27 will show Bono’s life as a transgender with girlfriend Jennifer Elia. It will also feature Bono’s preparation for DWTS and the controversy surrounding his participation on the show as the first transgender celebrity contestant.
