Michael Jackson’s Doctor Received a Guilty Charge


Doctor Conrad Murray was charged guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of King of Pop Michael Jackson last June 25, 2009.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, the one who gave the verdict stated “This is a crime where the end result was the death of a human being. That factor demonstrates rather dramatically that the public should be protected.”
Michael Jackson’s family was very happy and shouted for joy when the presiding judge read the verdict. Fans who were also present in the court room showed happiness when they heard it.

In the six –week trial of this case, prosecutors have labeled Murray as a reckless doctor and that he didn’t go by the book in treating the singer. Murray will be sentence on November 29 with 4 years imprisonment and would have to pay penalties.

Michael Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication after suffering from cardiac arrest. He was found dead in his home on June 25, 2009. Los Angeles County Coroner announced his death as homicide and his doctor was the main suspect.

Murray pleaded not guilty when the trial started and his defense attorneys said that before he hired Murray to administer his treatment of Insomnia, Jackson was already convinced that only propofol can cure it. They also added that Jackson injected extra dose of the said drug and swallowed several tablets without the doctor’s consent.
