Demi Lovato’s Everyday Struggle

It might seem that after her rehab stint, Demi Lovato has finally taken control of her life – particularly her bulimia and her ‘cutting’ problems.

But, the former Disney star opens up and admits in a MTV documentary, ‘Stay Strong’, that every day is still a struggle for her to keep it all together.

In her documentary special the 19-year-old star sat in front of a studio audience while answering host SuChin Pak’s questions about her longtime battle with bulimia and cutting.

The singer admitted to Pak that, “I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment. I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect. This is a daily battle that I will face the rest of my life.”

If you will recall, Lovato stayed in the rehab facility, ‘Timberline Knolls’, for three months to treat emotional and physical issues manifesting itself through bulimia and cutting. The treatment center has since remained a big part of her life as she revealed in the documentary that she still visits the Illinois-based center to share her story and words of encouragement with patients there.
