‘The Situation’ Admits Pill Addiction Problems

As they say, the first step to conquering a problem is to admit and acknowledge that it actually exists.

And, Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino did just that — he recently came out with a statement admitting that he is indeed seeking help for a problem with prescription pills.

Speaking via his blog, Sorrentino said, “I want to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion. I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans’ support and love you guys.”

The statement released Wednesday came hours after Sorrentino and his publicist denied a TMZ report that he was in rehab for substance abuse.

TMZ reported Tuesday that Sorrentino had checked into an “inpatient treatment program” for substance abuse — which Sorrentino adamantly denied at first.

Apparently, clearer minds have prevailed and thought that it was best to come out with the truth.
