Kentucky Derby 2012 Contenders Post Positions Announced


The 2012 Kentucky Derby is set to begin on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Horse racing fans will surely be thrilled on who will win this year’s 138th Kentucky Derby.

Also known as “The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports“, this year’s Kentucky Derby horse race will be televised in the US on the NBC with a post time at 6:24pm Eastern Time, as reported by KentuckyDerby.com website.

Gates at the Churchill Downs will be opened at 8am Eastern Time and at around 4 pm in the afternoon, the red carpet will be rolled out for celebrities to walk in.

Officially, there are twenty contender horses who will be vying for this year’s 2012 Kentucky Derby. The field was announced on  May 2, 2012 which determined the post positions of the contenders.
