Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Makes History with $500 Million Sales in Just 24 Hours!

The release of Call of Duty:  Black Ops II was welcomed with so much enthusiasm and excitement from gaming fans as it reached $500 million in sales worldwide in just a span of 24 hours.

With the sales record, it has defaced the record sales of Microsoft’s Halo 4 and makes record for 4 straight years.

The announcement of the record sales of the multi-billion fame franchise was announced by its publisher Activtion.

Call of Duty has become more than a product people buy, it’s a brand people buy into.”  And every November we do more than just the launch of a game, we kick off an annual, unofficial but worldwide phenomenon called the Call of Duty season,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.

Call of Duty stated in 2003 and sales since then has surpassed that of Harry Potter and Stars, added the company.  In fact, its Black Ops hit $360 million while its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recorded a $400-million sales last year.

The company predicts that Black Ops II will become the top-selling video game of all-time especially with the expected rise in sales from this November’s holiday season.  The company added that GameStop and Amazon had already pre-ordered Black Ops II; recording higher pre-order than last year’s Modern Warfare 3.

Black Ops II was written by David S. Goyer.
