Anne Curtis Will no Longer Press Charges on Tabloids for the Wardrobe Malfunction Photos

annecurtissmith-wardrobe-malfunctionAnne Curtis will no longer press any charges against all the tabloid newspapers that published the most recent she is involved with during the ASAP XV Live show in Boracay dubbed as the “Anne Curtis Wardrobe Malfunction” incident.

During her live appearance and interview on the “The Buzz”, she said that she will no longer file any legal actions as per advised by her father who is by the way also a lawyer.

Para matapos na, kalimutan na ng mga tao. He actually called them gutter press because these are people who are below the standards of normal press people… that’s below the belt.

Anne and her management first floated the idea of filing chargers against those who published her photo saying that the photo was taken without her consent and Anne even said that in Hollywood, such a thing is penalized.  Now, she just wants to move on and forget about the whole incident, more so rise above it.

Anne Curtis and Sam Milby stars on the latest movie offering of Star Cinema “Babe I Love You”.

The Renegade Blogger’s Thought: As I have already seen it, pursuing a legal action for this one will only end in futility as the case will be weak.  The photo was taken while she was performing and arguing that she has not given her consent for the photo to be taken more so be shared on social networking sites is a very weak argument; as it was not like a private act that she was doing.  And pursuing a case against those who shared the photos is going to sue everyone in Facebook, Twitter and more that could easily number to thousands.  By the way, I should refute what Anne says that in Hollywood, uploading photos like her wardrobe malfunction during a public performance and sharing them is penalized; Hollywood tabloids, online showbiz sites and big showbiz news channels are even more daring on its news.

Check out discussion here of readers of the wardrobe malfunction photos.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer by the way also published her photo last Friday, but blurred the sensitive area.

That is right Anne…Time to move on.
