The Social Network Wins Best Film in Golden Globe Awards


Held in Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, the 68th Annual Golden Globe Award declared movie “The Social Network” as the Best Film.

The 2010 film about the founding of Facebook, directed by David Fincher bagged a total of four awards including the Best Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best Director.

Natalie Portman was named as the Best Actress for “Black Swan” while Colin Firth of “The King’s Speech” won as the Best Actor. “The Fighter” stars Melissa Leo and Christian Bale got the Best Supporting awards.

Meanwhile, hit musical TV series “Glee” got the Best TV series for comedy/musical category. Jane Lynch who portrayed the role of Sue Sylvester and Chris Golfer as Kurt Hummel won the Best Supporting awards for this division.

It was said that Golden Globe Award winners have a good chance to be nominated in the Oscar Awards which will be held next month.
