After the success of the previous seasons, the third season of the reality talent search, has finally come to an end.But what remains is the question who will emerge victorious among the 12 most talented acts in the country?

“Twelve diverse acts coming from twelve different parts of the country are set to compete in the much awaited grand showdown of talents in Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finals happening live at the Ynares Sports Complex in Antipolo City this Saturday (October 22) and Sunday (October 23).

“After searching for the best Pinoy acts in almost 80 cities and municipalities nationwide, the country’s biggest talent reality show will have five grand finalists from Luzon, four from the Visayas, and three from Mindanao competing for the top prize of its third season search.

“Shadow play act El Gamma Penumbra of Batangas city, reggae band Sandugo of San Pablo city, singing and dancing twins Twin Divas of Nueva Ecija, singing teen heartthrob Khalil Joseph Ramos of Paranaque city, and Pinoy rappers Kiriko of Laguna prep up to defend the grand winner title won by Jovit Baldivino of Batangas in season one and Marcelito Pomoy of Cavite season two.

“Visayan pride, on the other hand, will reign thought Visayas’ bets dancing siblings Lucky Twins of Tacloban, Pinay-Nigerian diva Muriel Lomadilla of Cebu, aerial acrobatic act Synergy of Negros Occidental, and balladeers Maasinhon Trio of Southern Leyte.

“Meanwhile, they may be far from the capital but there is no stopping singing acoustic duo Bringas Brothers of Davao Del Sur, acrobatic kid act Loverkada Kids of Butuan City, and kid belter Renagine Pepito of Cagayan De Oro in showing the world that Mindanao’s got talent.

“Since its launch, Pilipinas Got Talent has consistently proved definitely proved that Filipinos are naturally talented regardless of age, wherever they may be, or whether they perform in groups, trio, duo, or even solo.

“Good morning. Bimby during Josh’s graduation told me & my sisters that he could see his lola Cory on stage. We asked what she was saying & he said for me & kuya to kiss her here, then he pointed at his cheek,” she tweeted.

Kris said that Josh is really special to former president Cory and it was possible that she was there on that special occasion.

“Mom really kept praying for Josh & helping aid his development, so we know she must have felt so gratified to see Josh moving on to his next level of learning. And  I believe Bimby, na si Lola Cory ang nagparamdam nga because Josh has such a  special place in  her heart!”

It was also said that 15-year old Josh, Kris and Philip Salvador’s son, will soon take up music and baking who’s now “moving on to his next level of learning.”

Ang Tanging Ina (Last Na To!) dominated the competition and got a total of nine awards on this year’s MMFF: Best Actress (Ai-Ai Delas Alas), Best Director (Wenn Deramas), Best Supporting Actress (Eugene Domingo), Best Child Performer (Xyriel Manabat)  Best Screen Play, Best Story, Best Musical Score, Gender Sensitive Award and Best Picture.

However, Studio 5 and Cinemabuhay International’s movie entry Rosario, starred by Jennylyn Mercado got seven awards in total: Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, Best Production Design and Best Float.

Comedy King Dolphy won as Best Actor for Father Jejemon and also got the Best Supporting Actor for his role in Rosario.

Finally, Mr. Bong Osorio, head of Corporate Communications of ABS-CBN confirmed the rumors.

“Pilipinas Win na Win (PWNW) will have its last episode on December 31, 2010. The ABS-CBN management thanks the The Hitmakers, Valerie Concepcion, Kaye Brosas, and Pokwang, the PWNW production group and most important, its viewers for their support to the program.

“In the meantime, Showtime will occupy the slot left by PWNW. With its extended time, Showtime will continue to bring more great fun, and hope to Filipinos worldwide.”

“Pilipinas Win na Win!” was launched on July 31, 2010, replacing “Wowowee” after Willie Revillame had issues with the ABS-CBN management. It was then hosted by the Presidential sister Kris Aquino, Robin Padilla, Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, and Valerie Concepcion.

Within a week, Robin and Mariel filed an indefinite leave and fled to India. Followed by Aquino, who was asked to leave. Rico J. Puno, Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuñiga, and Marco Sison a.k.a The Hitmakers replaced Aquino.

A little later, the show introduced Janelle Jamer and Gee Canlas. As if the hosts weren’t enough, comedienne K Brosas was added to the show.
